看中廣新聞怎麼"編輯"華盛頓郵報對馬英九的專訪

翻譯外電這件事,不是人人都能翻得精準.但是把人家有講的說沒講,把當時不是重點的放大處理,這個大概就是為官方服務的媒體了吧? 中廣會不會變成台灣的新華社呢? 以下比較12月10中廣記者劉芳與華盛頓郵報原始的報導(12月9日)

這是中廣的標題:

華郵專訪馬英九:我當總統家人失業 好總統領導清廉政府

該報導的結尾來了這麼一段:

令人注意的是，這篇專訪刊登在「華盛頓郵報」國際版上的著重於經濟議題，完全沒有國內的政治或司法議題，而這反映了美國社會關注的是台灣的經濟與兩岸關係的發展。

Q: On Tiananmen, you’re not going to say [whether unification is possible without resolution]? (馬英九類比中國政府處理天安門事件與川震事件的不同態度,並肯定中國已經比較開放,因此記者追問)那天安門事件呢?您不打算對懸而未決的天安門事是否會影響統一的願景提出說明嗎?

Q: How about your long-term vision about whether Taiwan will eventually be a sovereign member of an organization, Greater China but an organization like the E.U.? Or whether it will be more like Austria vis-à-vis Germany: same culture, separate sovereignty. Q: To outsiders or to critics, how can a democratic legal system hold someone for up to four months without charge?對局外人或評論者想問的是,一個自稱是民主自由的法制國家怎麼能在沒有罪名之下羇押一個人長達4個月?

Q: Is there anything I’ve failed to ask you, especially as it relates to the current economy?是否還有其他事情您想要陳述而我還未問及?,尤其是有關近期的經濟狀況?

而在中廣新聞稿裏提及的總統一人當選,家裏3人失業在原文專訪裏是這麼說的:

When I was inaugurated my wife actually got early retirement because she didn’t want to do anything that might have a conflict of interest. She also asked her brother to quit his job because his company has some business dealings with state-run corporations here. I also asked my elder sister to quit her job, so I always joke that in my family, while I am employed, three people lost their jobs. I just want to get rid of these potential conflict of interests.

馬英九主動要求姐姐辭職?好像不太像吧?馬式風格還真的徹頭徹尾的睜眼說瞎話啊!而寫這篇的中廣大記者能把原本只佔59段中的1小段的內文擴大成中文稿的主體,再來個結論說此報導"完全沒有國內的政治或司法議題，而這反映了美國社會關注的是台灣的經濟與兩岸關係的發展",這種行徑只有4個字能形容-謊話連篇.16個問題中就有7題直接與國內政治有關1題與司法議題有關,怎麼會是"完全沒有"?

中廣會變成台灣的新華社嗎?

Excerpt from Newsweek "Fallout from Chen Shui-Bian's Dramatic Arrest" by Melinda Liu

Such warnings have not just come from traditional DPP supporters. Last week, before Mr Chen’s arrest, twenty prominent international Asia specialists, including Professors Arthur Waldron of the University of Pennsylvania, Bruce Jacobs of Monash University and June Teufel Dreyer of the University of Miami, along with former Far Eastern Economic Review Taipei correspondent Julian Baum, issued an unprecedented open letter expressing “deep concern” at the behaviour of Taiwanese prosecutors.  “It is obvious that there have been cases of corruption in Taiwan,” they wrote, “but these have occurred in both political camps.” The recent detentions, they said, had created an impression that the KMT authorities “are using the judicial system to get even with members of the former DPP government.”  They accused prosecutors of “a basic violation of due process, justice and the rule of law,” by holding several detainees incommunicado without being charged, and of “trial by press” by leaking detrimental information to the media. They suggested that such actions were jeopardizing the achievements of Taiwan’s transition from one party rule (by the KMT) to democracy in the late 1980s and early 90s.

Taiwan succumb to panda diplomacy

Taiwan yesterday finally succumbed to the appeal of panda diplomacy, saying it would accept a pair of the world's favourite bears offered as a token of friendship by China.

今晨看到英國Telegraph的其中一則關於台灣的消息.我想要是台灣的媒體大概不會用succumb這個字眼在中國送熊猫的新聞...

按照Cambridge dictionary 的解釋succumb的字義是:

verb

to lose the determination to oppose something; to accept defeat.

怎麼看都是相當負面的意思.在我看來,台灣最近向中國投降的恐怕也不只是一對熊猫吧?

文中提到三年前陳總統以台灣為亞熱帶氣不宜熊猫居住為由間接的否定北京的"好意",但其實真正的原因是-

A more significant but unspoken reason was the fact that China's last "panda gift" was to Hong Kong to mark its return by Britain in 1997.

在97回歸之前,中國也致贈香港熊猫過,等於是相當明示的宣示主權.

熊猫終將落腳台灣.台灣是否也將漸漸走向香港的歸途呢?

shhhhhh.....shut up!

透過簡余晏的部落格得知王明哲的專輯發表會消息.於是昨天和Mia冒著大雨去華山藝文中心.雨中的華山藝文中心有些突兀的殘敗美感.幾乎每個賓客都濕漉漉的抵達.

在這之前我對王明哲是誰是完全沒有頭緒的.後來才知道他是台灣魂,海洋國家等歌曲的作曲或作詞者,我對他的第一印象是:(這人應該也是屬於難搞型的artist),他講話時很小聲,再加上我的台灣聽辨能力只有50%,實在難以聽懂他在說什麼,但是一演唱起來就是截然不同的一個人,尤其是那段吹口哨的部份,很喜歡:-)

第一次近距離的看到一堆綠大頭,整個場子像是綠的同樂會.不算小的廳堂也幾乎坐滿了,當氣質美女王美琇最後說出我們每一個人都應該心懷希望,永遠有夢,而這個夢就是有一天我們的國家名字會是台灣時...

我忍不住感動到頭皮發麻起來.

我大概不會是去搖旗納喊的人,也不會是走上街頭的人,但是我真心希望這些對操作媒體還嫌幼稚的綠人們可以早日重新掌舵.帶領台灣走向自立自強的方向啊!

最後阿扁來了,現場此起彼落的"總統好",可以看見他卸任後的魅力仍在.專輯發表會在他和現場的貴賓一起合唱海洋國家時落幕.但是我覺得我似乎無意中看到了什麼....

話說在專輯發表會中還有一群來自台東的一所教會學校的小朋友合唱表演.那位帶隊的老師長相甜美也很積極的要把場子抄熱.在最後大家大合唱時,她大聲喊出"台灣獨立!阿扁是我們永遠的總統!台灣加油"等.這時有位長的像公關的胖小姐(相信我,公關人的臉真的挺好認)馬上衝上台去做出制止她講話的手勢.那位老師停了一下,又笑笑的開始大喊台灣獨立勻勻,那位胖小姐再度衝上台去制止,最後拿走了她的mic.

我不知道其他人有沒有看到...好奇怪啊??為什麼要制止那位老師講話呢?又不是在公家機關也不是在學校啊!我還以為台灣是言論自由的國家呢?

什麼時候變了?

馬英九和陳水扁

馬英九被起訴的新聞傳來,各家媒體開始追所謂四大天王的反應.相較於當初陳總統夫人被起訴時,洪秀柱與朱鳯芝放鞭炮的反應看來,四大天王的反應是成熟的多了.



政治人物成也媒體,敗也媒體.馬英九面對特別費案一路上的談話從昨天開始被再倒帶,檢視.在鏡頭前談話不一定只有那麼一次的生命,從最近各家媒體檢視馬英九的談話就可以看的清楚.有時候沉默是"金".寬厚一點會讓人更尊敬.



倒是民進黨黨內部份政治人物的反應仍然讓我很受不了.蔡啟芳一句"馬英九要交朋友,要花錢啦",實在讓我不敢苟同.這是什麼意思啊?



是說政治人物應讓善結人際網路,好官官相護?花錢買忠心?



這不也是暗示馬英九就是沒這麼做才會被起訴?



實情是如此嗎? 馬面對特別費案不但不分青紅皂白先把全國的縣市長一起拉下水,還前後說詞反覆.面對過去的部屬要辦自己還先"明示"之前的長官部屬情誼,一付強調"別忘了我過去是你老闆"的樣子.



這樣的人和其政黨在之前聲稱要以"高道德標準"要求總統.



好想知道他們的"高道德標準"到那裏去了?



過去迫害別人的政黨現在在媒體上說自己遭受政治迫害,實在挺好笑的.當年被政治迫害的人可是家破人亡呢!這些人現在可是還好端端的拿著麥克風喊話呢!



期待在野黨趕快長大,有朝一日變成有政策有目標的堅督者,否則這樣的惡形惡狀恐怕得繼續在野啦!
